Choose Love – Hate To Big A Burden
Alina Zeranska The Art Of Polish Cooking
This book is often my “starting point” for adapting recipes to the appliances #InMySmallKitchen – My copy is the 1968 edition. Treasured for its many notes written by me, those from aunts, cousins, and even Peggy Masterson one of the “Ladies in the office” If you are interested I did see some reasonably priced copies on line, possibly Alibris or you can use this affiliate link to see what Amazon has in new & Used versions.

Back To The Fun Stuff
Having tired of the learning the truth of this meme pretty much every day…
The plan for 2023 is to focus more time on what gives me enjoyment.
Starting with what’s going on InMySmallKitchen
Ongoing Focus on more recipe conversions to take advantage of my countertop appliances
and accessories. ( so yeah, there will be affiliate links, but only for things I used at least a few times a month to cover batch prep and special meals. )
P.S. My “big” oven continues to be an excellent place to store cook and bake ware –
P.S.Jr My policy of responding to those who choose to communicate with civility (which includes being adult enough to use your real identity) even on the most painful of topics, remains in place.
Hope Shone Forth
Hope shone forth from an infant child,
in the manger that cold dark night.
In humility, God himself appeared mild,
yet His plan moved forth in all its might.
Salvation to humanity was born;
the angels could not help but sing.
This Infant Child would bear our scorn;
the newborn Sovereign King.
Helpless was mankind in sin
until the star shone forth its light.
Our salvation to begin,
bringing hope to the contrite.
The sin we bear has shown us guilty,
under the righteousness of God.
Our defense is proven faulty,
as He sees through our façade.
But this Child would fulfill
the law that we could not.
And by our sin, His blood we’d spill
to pay our debt and take our lot.
There is no guilt, which can’t be cleansed;
the darkest stains can be removed
When His Grace has been dispensed,
by Jesus Christ, in Him approved.
Let us worship the infant child;
born, a life, to set us free.
With His grace, upon us smiled;
infant born of sovereign decree.

Happened upon this poem maybe a year ago – truly a “reason for the season” inspiration.
HD SuperGlide 1200cc
A polite inquiry asked for details on my Sportster
The short answer – Never Owned One
Factual answer, I did own two Harley Davidson motorcycles in my 20’s.
The first was a 350ss Sprint and the second was a 1200cc Super Glide FX
Although my seat was different, this photo (found on Carview Specs) is one of the few I have seen with the longer length handlebars (my arms were not long enough to ride comfortably with the stock handlebars) and no front fork extension – because if I had wanted a Sportster I would have bought one.
My seat was also different, found this an image a bit further down that page
Still looking for a 1973-74 FX SuperGlide with front and rear Roll Bars. Thanks to my Mom insisting on them for both bikes, and she was, of course, right because they saved my life when the drunk driver broadsided my 350 Sprint with me on it. (still looking for a photo of it in “all black”) Doubt I will find one with the extended handle bars.
Before you ask, yes, the roll bars did create some interesting situations when off road. Good thing I wasn’t a 90 lb weakling or we (the bike & me) would have been in the woods for a long time.
Also looking for the back rest whose primary purpose was to hold my backpack for books and “small packages”.
If I find more info, will update and post a new entry.
Last updated: 2023-Jan-18
This is the closest I have found to the shape of my roll/crash bars. They were originally intended for a SuperGlide, so had to be modified to fit the Sprint. And were mounted both front and rear – so more mofifications was needed
