Searching for Sock Patterns

I am looking for a Sock, simple basic is fine,
preferably available for wholesale purchase from an
Independent designer.

I “need” both Tunisian and “regular” Crochet

To be used in an ongoing promotion in conjunction with yarn sales.

If you have a favorite, “please share”

Thanks for any help

Web Catalogs

in: Asides

With the end of the latest upgrade dimly in sight, and with the transfer of the FiberArt.net domain to a new owner who will be putting it to great use,

There are several items that are moving off the back burner,

I just wish that building a web businesses was not some much like Rome, not built in a day and sometimes it seems like those seven hills are seven himalayan mountains.

Flounce type yarns

Flounce Scarf

Recently someone on Crochet Partners mentioned using a skein of Flounce type yarns to make a quick gift scarf.

I neglected to note the name, so hope whomever has some experience with this yarn, would pipe up and share any tips, ideas, or even challenges you found but maybe did not yet overcome. With several variations of this yarn beginning to arrive, I am hoping to finally do something for me

And to be able to help those who are intrigued by the yarn as well.

Thank you in advance for any help

Cranky 2011 Yarn Resolution

I get a number of messages off the lists or thru my blog
often about the same thing over and over

As I was sorting some older papers, I found a note written to me by my late father when I was a teenager.

Apparently I had tried one too many times to be lazy about getting readily available information

“If you want a helping hand, look just past your wrist”

He went on to say “I did not buy a complete set of encyclopedias and annual updates for decoration, they are meant to be used.

So in that spirit and with the clear understanding that IF you can read this message you can also use the World Wide Web

2011 Resolutions:

Wheat will not waste time or bandwidth answering questions that could have EASILY been answered by downloading the CYC information found at:
http://www.craftyarncouncil.com/standards.html
Down load a copy, print it out, keep it with your Needles and Hooks

Possible addendum, if the RFI includes an often asked question, the answer is going to be on the blog where I can easily point people at the answer the next 20

Instead I am going to spend more time working on projects and learning more about supplies, tools and other “non-standard stuff”

Happy New Year

Someone needs to explain

How anyone who intends to make a career of writing instructions if they are unable to follow even the simplest will have a chance of succeeding.

Oh, well, I can’t wait to read their future rants about how the buyers of their patterns don’t read….

Yes it has been a long day

Peace of the Season
