Food Politics: King Arthur

I have been a customer of King Arthur Flour, now Baking Co first by mail order and now in my local supermarket since the late 1960’s.

Once again, I support Equal Opportunity, not the harmful to all humans narrative of Division, Exclusion & Inequity represented by their Pitchfest contest now in progress.

My comment today (2025-Jan-09) on the FB King Arthur Baking Company web page.

Apparently The King Arthur tag line: “Our mission is to inspire connection.” now needs to be changed to “Our mission is to inspire division.”

So now King Arthur is sponsoring politics of division – you just lost a customer – perhaps you should take a look at how such actions have effected other brands as well.

At some point the info re Pitchfest was replaced with

We are pausing online applications due to overwhelming response to the program. If you are interested in applying, please email bakingpitchfest@kingarthurbaking.com.

I cannot help but wonder why.
