    Hi Wheat,

I went to take a look a the One Needle Looper and had a chuckle. It brought back memories.

Back in the mid 1960′s my aunt decided to teach me to knit (well this was a forced decision on her part, ROFLOL). So I got a set of needles and yarn from her.

I cannot say that it was easy but I started to learn.
Then one day I see this ad in a local store for a Looper. It was said to be easier to do then knitting or crochet and faster then either.

I took my little bit of money and bought one (still have it stuffed away somewhere). I took this all faster tool home to play with.

What a mistake. It was difficult to use, slow, and totally frustrating with really lousy instructions for a kid to try to figure out. Away in a draw went the looper and out came the knitting needles.

Why bother with something hard, when knitting with needles was so much easier was the idea I got.

Several times over the years I have run across that looper. My thoughts have always been I should throw it away, give it away or something,

But then second thoughts have been, well maybe someday I will locate instructions and give it another try from an adult point of view.

    Maybe someday I will.

    LOL

Thanks so much for this! I would definatly give this a try if I could find it at a reasonable price…just ‘because’! :o)

In Montreal, these ‘needles’ turn up regularly in church bazaars. I have several of each size (There are two sizes.), and I have begun using one. Begun … nothing beyond a few rows. It may be easier than knitting or crochet, but only for someone who has zero knowledge of either. I haven’t yet gotten rid of them.
